Tours and events

One of the most beautiful sides of my profession is feeling like a bridge between two worlds, acting as a mediator between different cultures as well as between different languages. This is achieved through the translation of products (in my case, website, editorial and audiovisual products), but also acting physically as a cultural liaison in events.

Organizing events and guided tours in Barcelona allows me to bring the Catalan and Spanish cultures closer to visitors from all over the world. My curiosity has often set me on relentless quests to find the homiest restaurant, the most breath-taking views, the most shocking tradition, the most endearing legend, the nicest chocolate with churros … And sharing my findings is a total pleasure. Also, since I can make people laugh in five languages, why not use this super power? 😉

Tours such as corporate events are the order of the day. The most recent event that I organized was February 2020, right before the pandemic. It was for a Parisian company that was going to start operating in Barcelona and wanted to attract some publicity by inviting some bloggers and influencers to a gastronomic tour in Gracia neighborhood. The event began in the commendable Casa Vicens, toured the streets of Gracia on the hunt for the most representative flavors of our land, and ended with a private toast on the spectacular terrace of the Casa de les Punxes. It was an honor to be trusted to organize and lead such an event, in which there was so much at stake. The gratitude and praise of the bosses of the company for the good results and the great impact of the event on social media still resonate and make me swell with pride.

Tours in Barcelona

I started organizing tours in Barcelona in 2018 both independently and through other operators such as Craft Tours and Localers. After years living abroad, I had savored the pleasures of feeling like an ambassador of the Spanish and Catalan cultures and, once back in Spain, I had to become a cultural bridge in my home-country as well.

Modernist tours, Roman tours, tours through the historic center, gastronomic tours … I design, organize and lead complete experiences in which history, culture and gastronomy intertwine and are sprinkled with humor. But since self-praise is meaningless and visitors’ reviews speak for themselves, have a look at customers comments on TripAdvisor.

With the pandemic, the organization of events like this one had to be interrupted. But better times will come and we’ll be able to explore Barcelona and learn together again.
